B45610 – The Beatles Related Sixties Cavern Club Liverpool Performance Contracts (UK)

Four contracts for performances at the Cavern Club by various artists. The Beatles appeared on some of these dates but are not mentioned in the contracts.

The first contract is between Ray McFall and The Dakotas dated the 1st June 1962. It is for three performances at the Cavern Club on the 1st, 13th and 26th June 1962. The Beatles also performed their 104th lunchtime show on the 13th June 1962.

The second contract is between Ray McFall and Bill Landis dated 23rd July 1962. It is for a performance by Peppi & The New York Twisters at the Cavern Club, Liverpool on 19th August 1962. Although not mentioned on the contract this was a date that The Beatles performed at the Cavern Club. It was also the first time that Ringo Starr performed at the Cavern Club with The Beatles. It has been signed by Bill Landis.

The third contract is between The Cavern Club and The George Cooper Organisation Limited dated 30th August 1962. It is for a performance by Jimmie Macgregor and Robin Hall at the Cavern Club on 12th December 1962. The Beatles performed their 118th evening show at the club on this date. It was also the 45th and final time that they played the lunchtime and evening session on the same day.

The fourth contract is between Ray McFall and The Dixon Agency dated 12th December 1962. It is for three performances by Pete Maclaine and The Dakotas at the Cavern Club, Liverpool on 4th, 19th and 30th January 1963. The Beatles also played at the Cavern on the 30th January 1963.

The contracts measure 20.5cm x 33cm (8 inches x 13 inches). Four holes have been punched to the left edge of two of the contracts. There is some light wear and tear to the edges of each. The condition is very good.
