B45718 – The Rolling Stones 1960s Brighton Autographs (UK)
£2,500.00
A piece of paper that has been signed by The Rolling Stones in black ballpoint pen. Charlie Watts has added the group name ‘Rolling Stones’ in the upper left corner of the paper. The signatures were obtained in Brighton, England circa 1964.
Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the previous owner that reads
‘I was born in 1953 and became a huge fan of the Rolling Stones when they burst on the scene in the early 1960’s. I lived in Brighton for much of my early years and much of my family were very much Brighton based and were very much part of the new “Music Scene” at the time and played in various local bands. One of my uncles was a guy called Brian Chapman who is sadly no longer with us, but he regularly went to pop concerts at the time, and many of the new bands used to play in Brighton. He knew that I was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones and somehow managed to obtain the autographs for me. I know that he had a huge number of contacts within the music business and hence was able to get the autographs.
The paper measures 8.75cm x 13.5cm (3.5 inches x 5.3 inches). There are three horizontal fold marks. The condition is very good.
