B46019 – The Beatles 1966 Yesterday And Today Third State Butcher Cover Mono LP (USA)

An original 1966 third state (peeled) cover of the Beatles LP entitled ‘Yesterday And Today’.  The record is on the Capitol Records label with the catalogue number T-2553.  The label has the rainbow coloured band.  The matrix number on side one is T1-2553-G22.  The matrix number on side two is T2-2553-F17.  The number ‘6’ is printed next to the RIAA logo on the reverse of the sleeve.  It comes complete with the Capitol ’66 Sounds company inner and facsimile letters sent out by Ron Tepper from Capitol explaining the recall.

The condition of the labels is near mint.  There are a numerous light surface marks on both sides of the vinyl.  The condition of the vinyl is very good plus.

The front cover has been expertly peeled showing little evidence there was ever a slick pasted over it.  There is some wear around the edges and cracking on the spine.  The reverse of the sleeve shows some signed of wear and there is a split along the top edge measuring 18cm.  The condition of the front cover is very good plus.  The condition of the reverse cover is very good minus.
