B46626 – Johnny Guitar Byrne Anello & Davide Catalogue And Receipts (UK)

An original catalogue from the early 1960s produced by Anello and Davide, London. The catalogue comes with a letter dated 4th September 1963 and addressed to Johnny Guitar which reads as follows:

‘Dear Sir,

Re. Your letter of the 14th. We enclose herewith our catalogue and price lists, and some foot charts. Please indicate the type of boot you have in mind. We do not have crocodile or seal skin. We await the favour of your further communication.

Also included in the lot are two handwritten receipts from Anello & Davide to Johnny Guitar. One is for a pair of stage boots and the other is for a pair of brown boots and a pair of blue boots.

Provenance: from the collection of Rory Storm and The Hurricanes guitarist, Johnny ‘Guitar’ Byrne.

The catalogue measures 18.5cm x 25cm (7.25 inches x 9.75 inches). The condition is excellent. The letter measures 20cm x 25.5cm (8 inches x 10 inches). It has been folded leaving a horizontal line across the centre. The condition is excellent. The receipts each measure 10.5cm x 20cm (4 inches x 8 inches). Both have been folded leaving crease lines and one has some tearing to the edges. The condition is very good minus.
