A postcard dated 26th August 1968 handwritten by Pattie Boyd to her mother Diana Gaymer-Jones. The postcard reads as follows:
‘Having a super time going round The Islands. Twiggy and Justin joined us 2 days ago. We went to Olympia where the games started. Love Pattie x’
On the 17th August 1968 George Harrison and Pattie flew to Greece for a brief holiday. They were accompanied on the trip by The Beatles’ assistant Mal Evans and were later joined by Twiggy and her boyfriend/manager Justin de Villeneuve whom are both referred to in Pattie’s message.
Provenance: part of lot 20 in The Pattie Boyd Collection sale held at Christies in March 2024.
The postcard measures 14.5cm x 10.5cm (5.75 inches x 4.25 inches). The condition is excellent.
