B46716 – Beatles Autographs Bournemouth 1963 (UK) – £Price On Request

A page from an autograph book signed by The Beatles in blue ballpoint pen. Paul McCartney has added ‘xx’ after his name. The autographs were obtained at the Gaumont Cinema, Bournemouth, England when The Beatles were performing a residency there between 19th and 24th August 1963.

Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the original recipient that reads:
‘In August 1963 one of my friends was holidaying with me in Bournemouth at the same time as the Beatles were appearing at the Gaumont theatre. She took our autograph books in the hope that she would be able to see them. Whilst waiting at the stage door she was befriended by Tommy Quickly who invited her backstage on more than one occasion where she was able to meet the Beatles. As a consequence she returned my book with the Beatles and Tommy’s signatures.’
The page that The Beatles have signed measures 13.75cm x 10.4cm (5.4 inches x 4 inches). The cover of the book is detached. The condition of the page which the Beatles have signed is very good plus.
