B46754 – Paul And Linda McCartney Autographs With Facial Doodle Cardiff 1975 (UK)

A sheet of Rank Leisure Services, Capitol Theatre letterhead paper autographed on the front by Paul and Linda McCartney in blue ballpoint pen. Linda has drawn a facial doodle under her name. The autographs were obtained at the Capitol Theatre, Cardiff, Wales on 11th September 1975.
Provenance: accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient that reads as follows:
‘The Wings concert took place at the Capitol Theatre Cardiff in September of 1975. At that time, I was employed as an usherette and my brother in law was employed as a lighting engineer and projectionist. Wings were on stage rehearsing for the concert and Paul and Linda were at the piano. I was sat down watching the rehearsal and my brother in law approached the stage with the Rank letterhead and asked if they would give their autograph to me, as I was a fan.’
The letterhead measures 15cm x 21cm (5.75 inches x 8.25 inches). There are horizontal and vertical crease lines. The condition is very good plus.
