B46910 – Beatles Autographs Blackpool 1963 (UK) – £Price On Request

An irregularly cut piece of paper autographed by The Beatles in blue ballpoint pen. George Harrison has added the inscription ‘To Deborah love from the Beatles’ above his name and ‘xx’ after it, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have added ‘xxx’ below their respective signatures. The autographs were obtained at one of The Beatles performances in Blackpool in 1963.
Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the previous owner that reads as follows:
‘The autographs were obtained personally from The Beatles when they appeared in late Summer in Blackpool in 1963. A friend’s father was a manager at the theatre they appeared in and he got to meet them whilst they were there. My friend wrote to tell me that they were appearing and I asked him to ask his dad to get their autographs. He sent these to me a couple of weeks later saying that they were friendly and happy to provide them.
I remember writing back to ask for another set as all my friends wanted the same but he wouldn’t ask again. Not a very exciting story but it’s true and at the time I was very popular with my school friends!’
The paper measures 12.5cm x 15.5cm (4.9 inches x 6 inches). It has been previously folded leaving horizontal and vertical crease lines. The condition is very good minus.
