A one page letter in blue ballpoint pen in the hand of Irene Harrison, George Harrison’s sister in law. The letter was sent to a Beatles fan in 1964 and comes in the original mailing envelope which is postmarked Ellesmere Port, Cheshire 4th March 1964.
It reads as follows:
‘6 CHARTER CRES
E. PORT
CHESHIRE
Dear Carolyn,
Thanks for your most welcome letter. I was pleased hearing from you.
Yes, you are right in assuming I’m George’s sister-in-law. I’m married to his eldest brother Harry, but it’s amazing because I’m another Mrs. Harrison, quite a few people think I’m George’s mother.
Hope you like the ‘pie’ enclosed, before I close this I letter I would like to thank you for the stamp, it’s certainly a great help.

The envelope measures 14.25cm x 9.3cm (5.5 inches x 3.6 inches). There is a tape stain on the left edge. The letter measures 12.5cm x 20.25cm (5 inches x 8 inches). It was previously folded to fit into the envelope. The condition is very good plus.
