B47174 – Paul McCartney Sandie Shaw 1982 SFX Cassette Magazines (UK)

Two SFX cassette magazines featuring Paul McCartney and Sandie Shaw from 1982. They are numbered Issue 11 (April 17^th – 29^th) and Issue 12 (May 1^st – 13^th). Issue 11 contains the first part of an interview with Paul McCartney and the Sandie Shaw issue 12 contains part 2 of the Paul McCartney interview.

SFX was a short-lived UK magazine produced in 1981 and 1982 with a total of 19 issues. It’s distinguishing feature was that it was distributed in the form of a cassette. The format was similar to a radio show, an hour long with news, interviews, reviews, demo recordings, previews of upcoming album releases with occasional features on culture, fashion and football.

Each magazine measures 21cm x 30cm (8.2 inches x 11.8 inches). There are some creases and wear to the backing cardboard the cassettes are attached to. The Sandie magazine is sealed in cellophane but also shows signs of wear to the backing card including a small hole. Please note the cassettes have not been played. The condition is very good.
