B47480 – Fabulous 208 Magazine 1971 Run (UK)

A collection of Fabulous 208 Magazines from 1971. The collection begins on the 2nd January and ends on the 2nd October. There are a number of missing issues: 5th June, 3rd July, 11th, 18th and 25th October, all of the issues from November and December. 35 issues in total.
Fabulous was probably the best of the teen pop music magazines from the sixties and seventies. It was packed full of great colour shots of groups and artists from the time including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Manfreds, The Walker Brothers, The Monkees and many others. Fabulous ran interviews with the most popular people of the sixties, not only pop stars but TV film and sometimes even football celebrities! The magazine also contained news information, tour dates, reader’s letters etc.
Fabulous magazines changed size in 1969, all issues afterwards measure 22cm x 29.7cm (8.5 inches x 11.8 inches). In some issues the centre fold pages are loose. Several issues may have handwritten names or addresses on the border and several issues have two holes punched near the spine. One issue is very good minus, several are very good and the remainder are very good plus.
