HEN0158 – Jimi Hendrix 1967 Saville Theatre Autograph (UK)
A piece of white paper that has been signed by Jimi Hendrix in black ballpoint pen. The signature was obtained at the Saville Theatre, London on 27th August 1967. It comes with a letter from the original recipient that reads ‘I travelled to London with my mate Terry by train on Sunday 27th August 1967, to go to the Saville Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London, for the afternoon performance head lined by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. We hung around by the stage door and saw Jimi and the boys arrive in their mini bus and got his autograph on a small piece of paper. We managed to sneak in through the lobby and watched Jimi and the boys rehearsing Wild Thing by the Troggs. Shortly afterwards we were removed by Security but luckily we had tickets for the show which was absolutely fantastic. A very special day indeed with fantastic memories for a 15 year old lad’. The paper measures 7.75cm x 8.25cm (3 inches x 3.25 inches). Some creasing and marks in places. The condition is very good minus.
