An original press pass from the Woburn Music Festival in Bedfordshire, England which took place on 6th and 7th July 1968. Artists on the bill at the festival included The Jimi Hendrix Experience, T-Rex, Geno Washington, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and Alexis Korner. The pink pass is printed with the words WMF PRESS PASS in black. The pass comes with an email from the original recipient. It reads, “At that time, I knew a few people involved in the music scene – in this case, I & my friend Ray Tolliday accompanied the writer Chris Welch, then with Melody Maker, and he gave us the press passes. We spoke with Mark Bolan (very quiet & polite) after Tyrannosaurus Rex’s set & Roy Harper after his. Jimi Hendrix headlined, much more protected from interview etc”.The pass measures 9.5cm x 5.75cm (3.75 inches x 2.25 inches). There is some creasing to the upper left and right corners and a vertical crease down the middle where it has previously been folded in half. The condition is very good plus.
