About this item
An original 12 inch double-sided Emidisc stereo acetate of the Rolling Stones 1968 album ‘Beggars Banquet’. The disc bears a white Emidisc label on either side with the artist and title handwritten across the middle in black ballpoint pen. The ‘Beggars Banquet’ album was released in the UK in December 1968. The acetate was formerly the property of Rolling Stones Fan Club secretary Shirley Arnold who was given the disc by the band on the day of the launch party on 5th December 1968. It is accompanied by a handwritten letter from Shirley which reads, “The band gave me this acetate on the day of the launch party for the album. Where many a custard pie was thrown!”. The acetate comes in the original white front-laminated sleeve which bears the artist and title handwritten in the upper left corner, the handwriting is the same as on the Emidisc labels. The condition is very good.
