Garrod and Lofthouse top opening gatefold sleeve with black inners, poster and the 4 colour prints. The matrix number on side one is XEX 709-1. The matrix number on side two is XEX 710-1. The matrix number on side three is XEX 711-1. The matrix number on side four is XEX 712-1.
    The condition of the black inners is very good minus.
    The condition of the four photos is very good plus.
    There are numerous areas of discolouration and creasing to the fold lines. The condition of the poster is very good minus.

    A large format card stock ticket stub for The Beatles appearance at the ‘Royal Variety Performance’ which took place in front of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and Lord Snowden at the Prince Of Wales Theatre, London on the November 4th 1963 The group performed ‘From Me To You’, She Loves You’, ‘Till There Was You’ and ‘Twist And Shout’. Before starting the final song John uttered the now famous words ‘For out last number I’d like to ask your help. The people in the cheaper seats clap your hands and the rest of you, if you’d just rattle your jewellery’. It is for Stalls, Seat T 7, 3 gns.

    The ticket stub measures 15.75cm x 14.25cm (6.25 inches x 5.6 inches). There is a light horizontal crease across the centre. The condition is excellent.

    A piece of Marriott Hotels + Resorts letterhead paper that has been autographed by Graham Nash in black felt tipped pen. The signature dates to the 1990s. It comes directly from the private collection of Mac Holbert, who started in the Spring of 1971 as an assistant truck driver and gopher for the Crosby & Nash Tour. In 1973 he became Graham Nash’s assistant and eventually tour manager. He also managed tours for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Poco, America, Dwight Twilley, Peter, Paul and Mary, and Carole King. After his retirement from the road, Holbert continued his business relationship with Graham Nash, as well as his friendship with this legendary trio of musicians. This lot will include a certificate of authenticity, signed by Mac Holbert.

    The ticket stub measures 11.5cm x 9cm (4.5 inches x 3.5 inches). There is a horizontal crease line and areas of creasing around the edges. The condition is very good minus.

    The ticket comes with a double sided handbill. The front of the handbill is advertising the 28th July concert and the reverse lists a ‘Gig Guide’ for July and August 1979 at the club. Notable performances include the following:

    A collection of original 1962-1963 documentation relating to the Bedford Dormobile which was purchased by David Bowie’s first band The Konrads. The collection includes the following items:

    The original purchase document from Penfold Motors in Lee Green, Kent dated 19th October 1962 in the name of Konrads drummer David Hadfield. The van was purchased with money lent from backing singer Stella Patton’s father which was paid back by the band in five instalments.

    The document measures 24cm x 36.5cm (9.5 inches x 14.25 inches). There is a horizontal crease line across the middle and some wear and tear to the top and bottom edges. The staple holding the payment receipt to the reverse has caused some rust staining. The condition is good plus.

    A detailed service receipt from Tudor Garage in Bromley, Kent dated 19th April 1963 detailing work done on the vehicle.

    The receipt measures 20.25cm x 21.5cm (8 inches x 8.5 inches). The receipt has been folded leaving crease lines. The condition is very good minus.

    A photocopy of a flyer for a series of premieres and performances from Factory Records artists which took place at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith between the 13th and 18th of August 1984, the event was given the Factory Records catalogue number FAC 121 and the poster was designed by Peter Saville. It lists performances by the Durutti Column on the 17th and 18th August and a design exhibition by Peter Saville Associates amongst others. Stapled to the flyer are directions to the studios on which several handwritten notes have been made.

    The flyer measures 19.5cm x 25.4cm (17.5 inches x 10 inches). The directions measures 21cm x 29.7cm (8.2 inches x 11.6 inches). The condition is very good.

    The item was previously sold as part of lot 289 at the Peter Hook Signature Collection sale at Omega Auctions on 2nd March 2019.
