B33467 – Disc Weekly/Disc and Music Echo Music Paper 1966 Almost Complete Run (UK)

An almost complete run of Disc Weekly and Disc and Music Echo papers from 1966 (Disc Weekly changed its name to Disc and Music Echo in 1966). There are 49 issues in total. The first issue is from the 1st January and the last is from the 31^st December. Six of the issues have black and white covers with the remaining 35 having colour covers. Issues Feb 26th, March 19th and April 2nd are missing.

Disc was one of the top selling music papers of the early 60s. It was more lightweight in style than some of its competitors such as Melody Maker but nevertheless it provided extensive details of all the current news and record releases. It also contains some fabulous photographs which were not seen elsewhere.

Each issue measures 30.5cm x 40.5cm (12 inches x 16 inches). All of the issues are laid flat. Several issues may have the owner’s name written on the margins. The conditions are as follows: several are very good minus, of the remainder half are very good and half are very good plus.
